War
Times Newspaper
War Times Mission statement:
The terrorist attacks of September 11 marked the beginning of a new
and frightening period in our history. Thousands of people died that
day, and their families along with the country as a whole are still
struggling to recover. But President Bush's response of "permanent
war against terrorism at home and abroad" has further endangered
the lives and liberties of millions of people everywhere.
War Times is being produced to help broaden and deepen the fight against
the Bush program by compiling information and analysis, and putting
them into the hands of large numbers of readers. We are planning for
it to be a free, mass produced, biweekly, and nationally distributed
tabloid-sized newspaper. It will be a valuable outreach and education
tool for organizers on the ground and an entryway for new people into
the peace and justice movement.

WW3
REPORT
Monitors the global War on Terrorism and its implications for human rights,
democracy and ecology. They scan the world media and Internet with a critical
eye for distortions and propaganda. Their only loyalty is to the truth.
Every week, they cover the top stories in the War on Terrorism, as well
as important stories overlooked
by the mass media. Everything we report is sourced, and we endeavor to
fact-check and probe deeper
when something smells funny--whether it comes from the New York Times
or a fringe web site. They
annotate with historical, cultural and political context when it is relevant
and overlooked by our source.
They are always concise and to-the-point, boiling the news down to its
essence. They encourage
reprinting of our blurbs by activist newsletters and community newspapers--with
attribution please.
"Does my country really understand that this is World War III? And
if this attack was the Pearl
Harbor of World War III, it means there is a long, long war ahead."
